About the subject

This portrait of an actor Matt Bomer was requested by dear pbird12 as her prize in my contest [she won it ] and a part of our art trade as well - she preferred getting one A4 drawing instead of two A5. In return I will receive a A5 portrait of Aidan Turner :excited:
Paula got this work a few days ago and when said she likes it, it made my day! :boogie:

About the drawing itself

I must admit I was afraid of drawing his hair and T-shirt here  I'm not good at light shading, and even tho Paula comforts me his T-shirt is well done, I disagree :XD: But I like how the hair turned out, as well as the jacket. It was a pleasure to portray Matt from this picture.

P.S. I'm sorry that I haven't replied on many comments yet :ashamed: In two months' time I'll be graduating from university and I must focus on writing my MA thesis... and it's not even half done! *dies from panic* :faint:

I disagree with you on the shirt not being well done. Anything that is white is very difficult to shade properly, but you did it perfectly. I have not yet been able to draw hair that looks realistic, but your texture and flow looks great. You did very good on his skin tone, which I've found to be tricky to not get too light or dark. The face is absolutely amazing! The shading, razor stubble, nose, and eyebrows are excellent. However, the very first thing I noticed was the eyes. Eyes are very hard to do because if you do not do them right then they look empty and slightly unsettling, but you did the eyes perfectly. The only thing I have that is slightly negative to say about this would be his right shoulder looks a little strange compared to the rest of the picture, but that is all. Very well done!
