About the subject
This portrait of the pretty gal was commissioned, I've been working on it since the 2nd week of September. The current owner of the drawing is happy with the result, thus I am happy, too I'm not allowed to tell you her name, that's why the title is so trivial I'm not good at inventing titles.
About the drawing
I received a small resolution photo, therefore I had to improvise in some parts: lips, teeth, hair That was quite a challenge! Despite of this fact, I'm satisfied with the outcome, especially when it comes to smooth shading [no blending as always]. Since my Olivia Wilde portrait, I haven't draw so much hair in one portrait!
Wow, it's been almost two months since I uploaded the previous pencil portrait... Hope you like it
Oooh, I love her eyes and her hair! You managed to pull everything of nicely here, despite the reference picture being small. I've never had a commission, but I can understand your frustration with people providing small references. I always scout around for the biggest ref I can find when I want to draw something, the small but amazing ones are very frustrating.
Thank you very much! Indeed I was frustrated, and the guy had known I would be But he didn't have any other pic and asked me to try. But it was the last bloody time when I agreed Drawing from high-resolution photos is much more pleasant and easy.
