_{About the subject}
This portrait of Dominika has been requested by my former homeroom teacher from high school I used to attend. The girl performed a role in the play at 20th anniversary of our school [mine, hers and our mutual teacher's]. An old ballad of a Polish poet, Adam Mickiewicz, was staged: it was called "Lilije" ["Lilies"]. That's why Dominika put a flower in her hair and that's why I chose such a title for the drawing.

It was a very pleasant portrait to draw, I wish all the commissions which I get were so interesting! ^^ I rarely draw flowers, so I'm glad that the lily turned out well, but I know I could do it better... I kept the big contrast which was in the reference picture, or even made it bigger a bit. I did kind my version of hair, the one in the ref photo was more messy.
