About the drawing
I portrayed Heath Ledger again as a birthday present for maggot-515 I've just realized it somehow became a tradition, it's the third time I drew HL for her, the second time as a b-day giftWhereas the previous portraits of Heath I've drawn depicted him serious, this time I tried to capture his smile
I still find working on such a small piece of paper hard, but doable. The facial expression wasn't the easiest, I believe that's why it made me struggle.
I had so little time that I had to blend shades. This experience convinced me I prefer not to do it, but I think blended shading turned out not so bad
Hope you like it!

I really love sketches, especially those that have an impact on my emotions. This is one of those sketches. The passing of Heath Ledger was one of those events that you didn't expect, taking you completely by surprise. This sketch symbolizes everything we miss. Now, the art. The shading is beautiful, it's placement is perfect, almost photo-realistic. The placement used is great, as every part appears where it should on Ledger's face. The details are visible, and every line appears to have a purpose for being there. This is fantastic work, and I hope to see more like it soon. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
