Another new quickly done pastel work. When I saw the reference, I thought it'd be great to draw it this way [white pastel on black paper]. This time I blended pastels. Not very satisfied with this one, I guess it's because I haven't practised this technique for a long time. Must improve my skills :eager:
The scan looks better in person. My scanner aparently hates shades of blue.

I haven't posted anything new recently as I have been quite busy with university assignments, but I'm currently working on a pencil portrait. Don't worry, I'll upload it soon :aww:

I don't know how you've made this, and I don't really care; the result is stunning. I watched it as a thumbnail, and thought it was a photograph. Then I watched it in its original size, and realized that it's a drawing. And it's not even a complicated drawing! But maybe that's what makes it so great; you've done a lot with a little. The end result is wonderful.

I love how you've used the black. It makes me fill it with what I know is there, and I've always liked pieces where I am allowed to interpret a part of it on my own. As I can with this one.

I also apprechiate the colours you've used. I have a thing for contrasts, so the white and the black with the blue was one reason why I first fell in love with this drawing.

All in all; it's simple, but that's what makes it so great. I love this one.
